And we are having a blast! It's so hard to believe that Clay is 17 months old and running everywhere!!! And I mean everywhere, into everything and always looking for a ball. He is so much BOY, constantly busy, constantly eating- I can't imagine what his teenage years will be like. But we are enjoying every moment, taking lots of pictures (even though they aren't making it on here) and we are laughing alot! Clay's laugh is the best sound ever. I just love to hear it, so he gets tickled alot just so I can hear him laugh.
Right now everything is "ball" or "football" so one day before Tim got home I decided to put Clay in his UT outfit (fearful that if I didn't he would never get to wear it!) Needless to say Tim was shocked when he saw Clay and asked where I found that!!! Special thanks to Patrick and Amanda for the UT outfit! Of course I had to take a few pictures for the scrapbook pages....never know when I might need these.
Doesn't Clay look absolutely adorable in ORANGE! He just climbed up in his chair, started watching tv and was just relaxed (probably a little tired too). He is such a big boy. He is very helpful around the house. Really into "trash", always wanting to put stuff in the trash can. Sometimes it really is trash and sometimes it's our remote control, which we can't locate at the moment :-P or a sippy cup that he has finished.
Hopefully it won't be 17 more months before I get back on here, if so Clay will talking in full sentences! Oh my!

It's a BOY!!!!
Clay Thomas Chick arrived on October 30, 2009 at 12:52 pm and weighed in at 8 lb 3.5 oz and was 19 inches long! We are so excited to have such a sweet little boy! We have survived the first two weeks of parenthood! The first two days/nights were a little tough but once Clay figured out the difference between night and day we've done really well. He eats on a very regular schedule, which is every 2 1/2 to 3 hours during the day and maybe a 4 hour stretch at night. I've told Tim that Clay has "man gas" which means that he can poot and burp all at the same time. How many man points do you get for that?? But he is super sweet! He likes to cuddle, be held and be kissed! Clay likes to sit in his swing and listen to music, And he loves his carseat and taking trips. We've been out to eat several times and he slept through the entire meal. I think it's cause he feels so secure. We recently tried out our sling, the moment Clay was in there and all curled up he went right to sleep. Tim and I are so proud of Clay Thomas and it's only been two weeks! We are so very blessed!!!!!

A Weekend Away
For Memorial Day weekend we decided to take a little trip, so we headed to Atlanta for some fun. We stayed at the Georgian Terrace Hotel, so nice and very convenient to downtown, restaurants, and a MARTA station. While in Atlanta we did all the tourist activities, which included the Georgia Aquarium, the World of Coco-cola, a Braves game, Underground Atlanta, and some really good food at Ray's in the City.
The World of Coco-cola was fun and tasty. Our favorite part of the tour was trying all the different drinks from around the world. We both liked the Green Apple drink from Japan, however Cherry Coke is our favorite hands-down. Coke was having its One Year Anniversary of the new building. Steve Penley was there signing his art work, which is really cool. And there were vendors with jewerly, purses, and art work outside. The weather was nice- hot and sunny so we were able to walked everywhere and take the MARTA which was fun to ride.
The Aquarium is AWESOME! I believe everyone should go and see the fish- the beluga whales are so graceful and beautiful. They were my favorite. The male whale swam in front of the glass and showed off his talent for everyone. As you can see from the pictures Tim got to "touch" a Jellyfish- He's so brave! The otters were cute to watch as they swam and played together. Enjoy our pictures from the Aquarium. I took so many of all the different kinds of fish, sharks, and whales but I only posted a few!

Our Sweet Bailey
This is Bailey, he is a terrier mix. He is 3 years old and still very active. He loves to be on the couch and wrap up in a blanket when he's not tearing the stuffing out of stuffed animals! He looks calm now but remember looks can be deceiving! We love him and treat him like a baby, and we wouldn't have it anyother way!
